Thunder Mountain Cabin Rental Pricing for 2 guests
- $180 to 260/night (2 guests, 3-night minimum) + 13% state & local taxes
- Rates are lowest Dec, Jan, Feb and highest in the summer, and over holidays.
- Discounts often available for off-season dates or for last minute availability.
- $100 cleaning fee for 3 nights ($75 for 4-5 nights; $50 for 6+ nights)
- $100 pet fee for a max of 1 pet
- Note: Pet must be approved before booking
- $30/night for each additional guest (max of six total guests)
Camping Pricing for a max of 2 guests
- $70/night (1-night minimum) + 7.5% state & local taxes
- Discounted rates ($40-$60) for last-minute openings
- Up to 2 pets (no fee)

Included Amenities
Outdoor Bathhouse
After experiencing the unique outdoor bathhouse, many guests tell us that they never want to bathe indoors again. The antique tub is from an early 1900’s hotel in Hot Springs. The outdoor shower offers amazing views of the Ouachita mountains and river below.
Grills
Two grills are usually available to use for both cabin and camping guests. We provide propane for the 3-burner grill, but guests will need to bring their own charcoal for the small charcoal grill.
Kayaks, Tubes, Paddleboat
Four kayaks, several tubes, and a paddleboat are offered to guests at no additional cost. They are stored at the base of the 118-step staircase which winds down from the cabin to the river.
Decks
Multiple seating areas are available around and below the cabin. We love the smaller deck about halfway down the stairs between the cabin and river. Many of the deck areas feel like they are part of a treehouse as they stand high above the river below.
Booking Options
Cabin
Cabin guests will have full access to the entire 80 acre property. This includes four kayaks, tubes, four miles of trails, outdoor bathhouse, and of course the cabin. No other guests will overlap your stay. The cabin can host up to six people, but is ideal for a couple or two couples max. ($220/night for 2 people)
Camping
Bring your own tent or small RV and enjoy the entire 80 acre property. No other guests will overlap your stay. You will have access to everything the property offers except the inside of the cabin. Enjoy the kayaks, tubes, trails, grills, decks, and outdoor bathhouse. Wi-Fi, water, and power are also available to you if you camp near the cabin. ($40-80/night)
