“This was our second visit to this amazing property. What a beautiful cabin, they have thought of everything. So many special touches! I booked this place both times just for the outdoor bathhouse. The river is gorgeous and a great place to flyfish. We caught several nice smallmouth, longear, green sunfish and spotted bass. Loved the roar of the cicadas during the day and the katydids at night. We turned all of the lights off at night to watch the lightning bugs from the porch and the outdoor bathtub. Such an amazing place!!! “Thunder Mountain is definitely one of my favorite campsites ever. Todd put a lot of thought and love into the area and it truly feels like a special space. What a treat to have complete privacy out in nature, with some luxurious add-ins. The outdoor bath area was incredible! The outdoor flushing toilet was a great spot for a sit-n-think. “We had a wonderful time camping at Thunder Mountain. Although it was winter and we saw wind and rain there was such a great atmosphere we barely noticed. We arrived prepared to be self sufficient but the outdoor bath house with bath tub was beautiful and a real luxury. Everything was exceptionally clean which must be a real chore out in the environment! Having electricity, switchable string lights around the property and instant hot water were definitely enjoyed 🙂 The steps down to the river are steady and the area there is a rare combination of privacy and beauty in this day and age. “My husband and I spent 4 nights here celebrating our 17 year anniversary, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The location was wonderfully secluded where we could spend time with just us. The kitchen was well stocked, as were essential items like toilet paper, paper towels, spices, etc. The outdoor bathhouse was such an awesome addition. We didn’t even use the indoor shower! When we weren’t out crystal digging, we were kayaking on the river and fishing or swimming. It was such an awesome visit, and we hope to return to Thunder Mountain in the near future!” – Rhonda M

We had everything we needed and wanted right there on the property and never once had to leave during our week-long stay. “We recently spent 4 nights at the cabin and we cannot express enough how wonderful we found everything to be. The location was ideal and everything was exactly, if not better, than described in the listing. The host communication was excellent and the cabin guide provided was impressive in it’s detail and scale. We did not see or hear another person our entire stay there. We hiked all 5 miles of the trails, tubed the river, kayaked the river and floated the river over and over again. The deck spaces and views were amazing. The cabin was immaculately clean and the kitchen was exceptionally well stocked with pantry staple items. It was very hard to leave and we are already planning another visit.” – James G
